🌟 ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Join BKA for a virtual casting workshop with Devi Peot, a working casting professional at Casting by ARC, producer, and CEO. This educational session gives students real insight into the professional audition process and what casting teams are looking for today—on Broadway and beyond.

Students will receive guidance in a supportive, learning-focused environment designed to build confidence, clarity, and industry awareness.

🎤 MEET DEVI PEOT

Devi Peot is a New York City–based Producer, Casting Professional, and CEO, recognized for her creativity, adaptability, and commitment to equity and representation.

She currently serves as a Casting Assistant at Casting by ARC, working on a wide range of Broadway productions and national tours, including:

  • Chicago

  • The Lion King (Broadway & National Tours)

  • Life of Pi

  • A Wonderful World

  • Gatsby

  • My Best Friend’s Wedding

Devi is also the Founder and CEO of South Asians on Broadway LLC, an organization dedicated to celebrating and amplifying South Asian voices in theatre. Through this platform, she has helped develop projects such as Pigeonhole and Maya: The Musical (UK Premiere, 2025).

Her producing credits include serving as Assistant Producer on the HBO Max film Land of Gold, winner of the 2022 AT&T Untold Stories Award at the Tribeca Film Festival.

🎬 WHAT TO PREPARE

Students should prepare ONE of the following:

🎤 A song audition cut (approximately 32 bars)
OR
🎭 A one-minute monologue

For singers:

  • Please use a YouTube or piano accompaniment track

  • Tracks must be played on a separate device on the student’s end during the workshop

📌 WHO SHOULD ATTEND

  • Ages 8–18

  • All levels welcome
