WICKED FOR GOOD: A BKA Intensive

Inspired by Act II Storytelling — Songs + Scenes + The Rehearsal Process
📍 Open Jar Studios (1601 Broadway @ 48th Street, 11th Floor)
📅 June 12–14, 2026
Limited to 22 students

After the magic of our WICKED Weekend last year, we’re thrilled to invite you into the next chapter: WICKED FOR GOOD — a three-day, professionally guided intensive inspired by songs, scenes, and storytelling from the second act.

And you do not need to have attended our 2025 workshop to participate. This weekend is open to all artists who are ready to work, collaborate, and dive into material in a focused, supportive environment.

Important: This is an educational workshop inspired by WICKED. It is not a production of Wicked.

What to Expect

🎭 Scenes + Character Development (Act II focus)
Explore pivotal story moments and character arcs inspired by Act II — Elphaba, Glinda, Fiyero, Boq, Madame Morrible, Nessarose, and more. We’ll dig into stakes, relationships, choices, and transformation.

🎶 Vocal Performance + Musical Storytelling
Work on iconic musical moments as solos, duets, and ensemble sections. We’ll distribute featured moments so everyone gets a chance to shine — with solos broken into smaller sections or shared features when needed.

💃 Inspired Choreography + Movement
Learn movement inspired by the show’s theatrical style and emotional world — with an emphasis on storytelling, clarity, and performance quality.

🎤 Broadway Masterclasses
Gain insight, coaching, and Q&A from current and former Broadway cast members of WICKED.

🎬 Rehearsal Process + Etiquette
Learn what it’s like to rehearse professionally: how to prepare, take direction, implement notes, and elevate your work quickly.

🎭 Final In-Studio Presentation
Showcase what you’ve built in a studio presentation for friends and family on Sunday morning.

💚 WICKED FOR GOOD is designed for artists who are excited to work hard, collaborate, and grow — while experiencing a rehearsal process that feels like the real thing.

BKA does not require an audition for this intensive, but we recommend you discern if your child is ready for a professionally focused performance program before signing up! In order to put a show together in this manner, artists will be expected to have all materials memorized and well rehearsed after their music and acting coaching.

*Due to the nature of the performing arts, last minute teacher changes may occur.

This workshop is for educational purposes only and cannot and will not be treated as an audition.
